We are located in Palm Bay, FL. My interest in alligator hunting was piqued when I came across a feature in the “Woods and Water” magazine. After reading about it, I was determined to make it happen. Despite it already being August, I made it clear to my girlfriend at the time that alligator hunting was something I wanted to pursue. Since I had no prior boat-owning experience, I made several mistakes when purchasing my first boat. Consequently, I had to resort to Craigslist and advertise it for trade in order to secure a gator hunt. Through this experience, I made two valuable friends who guided me, despite none of us having prior alligator hunting experience. In the first year, I obtained approximately 10 tags, long before “Swamp People” popularized the trend. The following year, I started selling hooks and steadily advanced in the field.
